Conor McGregor faces Nate Diaz once more in the headline event of UFC 202 on August 20 with redemption on the line.

The pair clashed in March at UFC 196 where Diaz, a late replacement for the injured lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos, defeated the ‘Notorious’ Dubliner with a submission in the second round.

Now McGregor has another shot to reclaim his throne at the top and fans cannot wait.

But when does the fight takes place? And when can you watch it?

Here’s all the information you’ll need.

1. When is the fight?

The fight will be taking place in the early hours of Sunday, August 21.

2. What time is the fight?

As the main event headlining the card, expect McGregor vs Diaz 2 to be scheduled around 5am Irish time, depending on the length of the other fights.

3. Where is the fight?

The T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas

The fight will take place at the new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada which opened on April of this year and hosted UFC 200 in July.

4. How can I watch it?

The only venue to watch the event in Ireland will be on BT Sport 2 which can only be accessed through an Eir sport pack or through Sky TV Ireland.

UFC Fight Pass subscribers will get the entire event on the streaming service 48 hours after the conclusion of the event.

For those without viewing options, you’ll be able to keep up with the action at the Mirror’s own live blog which will be busy throughout the night.

5. Have they met before?

Infamously, they had faced before at UFC 196 earlier this year. McGregor was due to face Rafael Dos Anjos for the UFC Lightweight Championship only for the latter to pull out due to injury.

Drafted on ten days notice, Diaz wasn’t seen as a contender and the odds were overwhelmingly in McGregor’s favour.

In a stunning upset, Diaz shocked the world and defeated McGregor by submission in the second round.

The pair were due to have a rematch headline UFC 200 but McGregor and the UFC had disagreements regarding McGregor’s press obligations and the match was pulled.

The pair are now finally expected to settle their differences come August 20.

McGregor’s record stands at 19 wins and 3 losses. Diaz’s record stands at 20 wins and 10 losses.

6. What’s on the line?

Nothing but pride. The original fight between McGregor and Dos Anjos would have been for the UFC Lightweight Championship but the replacement fight against Diaz was fought on welterweight with no title on the line. The same is expected for UFC 202.

Nate Diaz attempts to submit Conor McGregor

Conor McGregor: “One thing I underestimated was his durability and his experience.” But he’s sure he won’t make that mistake again. I’ll come in prepared, sharp, and I’ll take this man out.”

“People can say what the (expletive) they want. I didn’t feel his weight anywhere until that moment, until when he sprawled. When I went to turn away from mount and regain guard or something, he sprawled me out at the right time and that was it. It was done at that stage, but (expletive) it. I’ll take that one on the chin.”

“I’m not afraid of no challenges. That’s how my career will be remembered: a guy that showed up to fight every single time.”

Nate Diaz: “I was ahead of everybody as far as a following in the UFC: I was the biggest draw, I was the biggest everything in every weight class and then Conor came around and was the biggest draw, he was getting a big push, everybody was all about – the UFC was Conor McGregor,”

“If I was stupid I wouldn’t have got to where I’m at. I did what I had to do, I got that fight with (Michael) Johnson, I plotted him out and I got my (expletive) down. Then they plotted back and got me on 10 days’ notice, and it still worked out, regardless. I asked for the fight, I got the fight, so I’m going to take the fight. I feel like I’m in the position I’m in because I put myself in this position and it is what it is.”

“I wasn’t following the lead on making some money here. I was going to get my money regardless and I was going to get where I’m at regardless. But [Conor] was a shortcut.””

8. What are the betting odds?
